ABOUT ME


In the 1990's, after receiving my MSc in BA degree majoring in finance and accounting, I worked in the corporate world in Finland and in the USA. However, I have been following my Dutch husband's work assignments to Europe, Asia and Australia for over 20 years now. During those years I have reinvented myself several times by getting a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, by becoming a certified yoga teacher and by learning to design websites. I am currently living in south west of London with my husband, our 2 teenage children and 2 dogs. I teach yoga in Sunningdale-Ascot-Egham-Virginia Water area. I also run my own website design business and I am doing a math degree. I have always had a healthy lifestyle and have been into all forms of physical fitness and different kinds of sports. In addition to my daily yoga practices, I currently love running, cycling and hiking outside in nature.

Yoga has many benefits for the body and the mind.

In the dynamic Flowy Hatha Yoga classes the movements are coordinated with breath to flow from one pose to the next. However, I keep a relatively slow pace, talk about alignment and give different variations of the poses to make sure the students are safe.

Yin Yoga is a very slow-paced and passive style of yoga. The poses are held for long in order to apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body, to increase circulation and to improve flexibility. Yin Yoga is also a more meditative style of yoga.

All of my classes are multilevel classes, so no previous experience in yoga is needed.

You can wear any comfortable, flexible clothing and bare feet. Take along a yoga mat. However, I have some extra mats if needed. You can also take along a water bottle. However, it is not advisable to drink during the class. Please don't eat a heavy meal just before the class.

Please aim to arrive well before the class starts.

I charge:

£10 for a drop-in class
£45 for a 5 class card (valid for 6 months)
£80 for a 10 class card (valid for 6 months).


PRIVATE CLASSES


I teach private classes at any agreed time and location.

Private classes can be completely customized to the students' needs.

I charge:

£50 for a private class, max 4 students.

If there are more than 4 students, I charge £10 per each additional student.
